Abstract:
To provide a method for replacing gas in gas piping, the method enabling the gas to be replaced in a short period of time.SOLUTION: There is provide a method for replacing gas in gas piping 1 which has both openable/closable ends and to which a vent pipe 20 is connected via a vent valve V and a replacement gas inflow pipe 30 is connected via a replacement gas inflow valve N. The method includes: starting inflow of the replacement gas by opening the replacement gas inflow valve N while both ends of the gas piping 1 and the vent valve V are closed, thereby increasing pressure inside the gas piping 1 by the replacement gas flowed into the gas piping 1; opening the vent valve V when the pressure inside the gas piping 1 becomes a certain pressure or more; continuing inflow of the replacement gas while starting discharge of replaced gas present inside the gas piping 1 together with the replacement gas from the vent pipe 20; and stopping inflow of the replacement gas when a concentration of the replaced gas becomes a prescribed value or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
