Title:
CROSS SHAFT COUPLING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2019163847
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide structure which allows for suppression of degradation in the durability of a cross shaft coupling by reducing a load transmitted to a yoke via a snap ring constituting the cross shaft coupling even if an excessive load is applied to the snap ring.SOLUTION: Load F transmitted to a snap ring 30 perpendicularly acts on a tapered surface 52 formed in the snap ring 30, and consequently, the load F is divided into a first component force F1 axially acting on a shaft part 32 of a spider 16, and a second component force F2 acting on an external peripheral side of the snap ring 30. Therefore, the second component force acts in a direction in which the second component force presses an outer circumferential surface of the snap ring 30 to a groove bottom 48a of a groove 48, and the first component force acts from a point X3 being an end of the groove bottom of the groove 48, accordingly the load acting on a first yoke 24 can be largely reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
