Abstract:
To provide a Pd-Ru nano composite particle carrier, etc., having high activity by carrying Pd nanoparticles and Ru nanoparticles on a carrier in an appropriate fine deposit form.SOLUTION: A Pd-Ru nano composite particle carrier 1 comprises: a carrier 2; a plurality of Pd nanoparticles 3 carried as a fine deposit on the carrier 2; and a plurality of Ru nanoparticles 4 formed as a superfine deposit having a particle size smaller than that of the Pd nanoparticle 3 on the surface of the Pd nanoparticle 3. A method for manufacturing the Pd-Ru nano composite particle carrier 1 comprises: a first step of depositing a plurality of first nanoparticles 3A consisting of Pd metal or a Pd compound on the carrier 2; and a second step of depositing a plurality of second nanoparticles 4A having a particle size smaller than that of the first nanoparticle 3A and consisting of Ru metal or a Ru compound on the surface of the first nanoparticle 3A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
