To provide a fireproof wire preventing generation of positional deviation or gap of a fireproof tape generated by flexure or the like as much as possible, and holding stable fireproof efficiency.SOLUTION: A fireproof wire has a conductor 3, a plurality of fireproof tapes 4 and 5 spirally wound around an outer periphery of the conductor 3 so that edge parts are overlapped, and a press yarn 6 spirally wound on an outer periphery of the fireproof tapes 5 wound on the outermost periphery in same winding direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
