To prevent a reduction in display quality.SOLUTION: A display comprises: a first display panel; and a polarizing plate that faces the first display panel and has a transmission axis transmitting linear polarization. The first display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate that faces the first substrate, and a first liquid crystal layer that is held between the first substrate and the second substrate and includes stripe-like polymers and liquid crystal molecules.
