Abstract:
To reduce a communication load at synchronization of ARP information in proportion to an information amount of ARP information to be synchronized.SOLUTION: A communication system includes: response equipment 10 which holds a plurality of address solution information sets to respond to an address solution request using the plurality of address solution information sets; and a controller 20 which is communicable with the response equipment and controls switches 30, 31 on the network. The response equipment, when holding new address solution information, transmits the new address solution information to the controller. When receiving the new address solution information, the controller determines whether or not to synchronize address solution information with the response equipment, on the basis of a first time when the new address solution information is generated and a second time when address solution information received immediately before the above reception. When determining to perform synchronization, the controller synchronizes the address solution information held by the response equipment during a time interval from the second time to the first time with the controller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
