Abstract:
To provide a methane hydrate mining device capable of mining surface methane hydrate from the bottom of the water and transport it to the sea.SOLUTION: A methane hydrate mining device for mining methane hydrate present in the bottom of the water includes a drilling device and a storage container for storing methane hydrate. The drilling device is equipped with a moving body that can run on the bottom of the water. Drilling means for drilling methane hydrate, imaging means for photographing mined methane hydrate and sediment mined with methane hydrate, image processing means for processing an image obtained by the imaging means, and sorting means for sorting methane hydrate and sediment based on image data obtained by the image processing means, and storing the methane hydrate in the storage container are mounted on the moving body.
