Abstract:
To provide a gas meter which corrects an installation attitude damaging performance and reliability of the gas meter.SOLUTION: A straight pipe type gas meter includes a meter controller 18, an acceleration sensor 19, and a gas shut-off valve 16. The acceleration sensor 19 detects a gravity direction, so as to determinate an installation attitude of a meter housing. When a sealing face of a valve body 16a of the gas shut-off valve 16 is determined to face in an upper direction relative to the ground, the meter controller 18 issues an abnormality alarm so as to call operator's attention. Thus, the installation attitude is corrected and deterioration in sealability during gas shut-off can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
