Abstract:
To provide a drive shaft which can surely supply oil to respective bearing parts possessed by a universal joint.SOLUTION: A drive shaft comprises a universal joint 13 for connecting a first shaft and a second shaft to each other, and an oil supply mechanism 30 for supplying oil to the universal joint 13. The universal joint 13 has a joint cross 15 having four shaft parts, bearing parts 19a, 19b, 19c and 19d which are arranged at respective outer peripheral faces of the bearing parts, and a cup 20. The oil supply mechanism 30 comprises: oil supply flow passages 31, 32, 33 and 34 which are independently connected to the four bearing parts, respectively; an automatic oil supply device 55 for automatically discharging a lubricant; a multidirectional valve 56 having an inlet port 85 connected with the automatic oil supply device 55, and a plurality of outlet ports 86, 87, 88 and 89 which are connected with the oil supply flow passages; and a control part 57 for selecting the outlet port connected to the inlet port 85 by controlling an operation of the multidirectional valve 56.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
