Abstract:
To provide a trench/cutter for forming an excavation trench on a soil, which includes a cutter/frame, at least a pair of excavation wheels that are rotatably supported by the lower end of the cutter/frame, are rotationally driven, and each have a plurality of excavation teeth along its outer periphery; and discharge means which includes at least one discharge pump for discharging an excavation fluid from the excavation trench in the region of the excavation wheel.SOLUTION: Switch means 40 that is designed to switch discharge means 20 to a cleaning operation is provided, and a cleaning operation directs a flow of the fluid generated by at least one discharge pump 22 of the discharge means to at least one excavation wheel so as to clean an excavation wheel 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
