Abstract:
To provide a power supply circuit with a negative power supply circuit doubling an output voltage range for a step-up LED driver.SOLUTION: A power supply circuit 100 comprises a regulated positive power supply circuit 102 and an unregulated negative power supply circuit 104. The regulated positive power supply circuit 102 includes an inductor 106 arranged to receive input energy from an input circuit node, a switch circuit 108 coupled to the inductor 106 at a switch circuit node, and a control circuit 110 coupled to the switch circuit 108. The control circuit 110 is configured to control activation of the switch circuit 108 to regulate voltage at a regulated circuit node and generate a positive output voltage at a positive output circuit node. The unregulated negative power supply circuit 104 is operatively coupled to the switch circuit node of the switch circuit 108 and is configured to generate a negative power supply voltage at a negative output circuit node.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
