Abstract:
To provide a method capable of producing a small diameter artificial blood vessel such as an arteriole of a human body, into an optional shape and size, and an artificial blood vessel.SOLUTION: First and second cell sheets 11, 12 including fibroblast are prepared, and endothelial cells are coated to an external surface of a titanium wire 17 formed into a contour mimicking a blood vessel, then, the titanium wire is sandwiched between the first and second cell sheets, in the state, the first and second cell sheets are brought into tight contact and are left in a prescribed period, for moving the endothelial cells from the titanium wire to the first and second cell sheets, then the titanium wire is removed for forming a lumen part between the first and second cell sheets in which the titanium wire was present, for producing an artificial blood vessel part in which, the endothelial cells are adhered to an inner wall side of the lumen part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
