Abstract:
To provide a walking support device capable of supporting high quality natural walking training of swinging arms while being matched with leg movement in a correct walking posture even in an upward slope and a downward slope.SOLUTION: A walking support device includes: drive means for driving a driving wheel; inclination angle detection means for detecting an inclination angle of a frame; a pair of handles held by a user, and moving back and forth with respect to the frame while being matched with the swing of the arm accompanied with walking of the user; and control means for controlling the drive means so that the frame progresses while being matched with the swing of the arm accompanied with the walking of the user on the basis of information on the handle acquired via handle information acquisition means for acquiring the information of the handle. The control means controls the drive means so that a vertical line passing through a center position between center positions of each stroke of the pair of handles moving back and forth with respect to the frame approaches a vehicle body reference point set more in the inside from multiple wheels in the frame, according to the inclination angle of the frame detected via the inclination angle detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
