Abstract:
To provide a highly safe game machine password registration device for preventing internal data from being read easily even if a master chip is passed to a third party, and to provide a game machine semiconductor device in which a password is registered.SOLUTION: By using a security-imparting device 10 and a computer program mounted on it, master data that have passed a test for testing a master chip 20 are written and a password is registered. One portion of a nonvolatile memory 22 is used as a password registration flag 22a, a password cancellation flag 22b, and an area for storing a password registered via the security-imparting device of a security chip manufacturer. A RAM 23 is also used for various applications and partially and temporarily stores a password inputted from a ROM writer of a game machine manufacturer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
