Abstract:
To change a position of a sheet in a direction perpendicular to a conveyance direction of the sheet so as to separate conveyed sheets superimposed.SOLUTION: An image formation device 200 is capable of operating in a mode where images are continuously formed on a plurality of sheets while a rear end S11b of a preceding sheet S11 and a leading end S12a of a following sheet S12 are superimposed to convey the plurality of sheets, and comprises: conveyance means 10 for conveying the sheet; image formation means 20 for forming the image on the sheet; a conveyance path 401 where the sheet is conveyed in a conveyance direction CD; a displacement member 502 which is provided on the conveyance path and so as to change a position of the sheet in a perpendicular direction that the leading end of the following sheet is separated from a rear end of the preceding sheet in a direction perpendicular to the sheet surface of the preceding sheet; and detection means 40 which is provided on the conveyance path at downstream of the displacement member in the conveyance direction and detects the rear end of the preceding sheet separated by the displacement member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
