Abstract:
To provide a technique by which combustion gas short passage can be suppressed in a gas generator comprising a filter.SOLUTION: A gas generator comprises: a housing; an igniter located in the housing; a combustion chamber in which the igniter is accommodated and a gas generating agent, which is combusted by the igniter, is filled; a gas discharge hole which is provided in the housing, and communicates the interior and the exterior of the housing with each other; and a cylindrical filter which is located between the combustion chamber and the gas discharge hole. In this gas generator, the filter is positioned in the housing so that a part of at least one end face of both end faces in an axial direction of the filter contacts and is supported, an outside portion, which is positioned on a radial direction outer side with respect to the contact-supported part, is adjacent to a prescribed space, and a prescribed outer peripheral portion near said at least one end face of an outer peripheral surface of the filter contacts and is supported.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
