Abstract:
To provide a damper which enables optimization of characteristics of an accumulator to be easily done and enables easy installation work.SOLUTION: A damper D1 of the invention has: a cylinder 1; a piston 2 which is slidably inserted into the cylinder 1 and partitions an interior of the cylinder 1 into an extending side chamber R1 and a pressure side chamber R2; a rod 3 inserted into the cylinder 1 and connected to the piston 2; an outer cylinder 4 which is disposed at the outer side of the cylinder 1 and covers the cylinder 1 to form a reservoir R communicating with an interior of the cylinder 1; a cylindrical free piston 5 which is slidably attached to the cylinder 1 and housed in the reservoir R; a stopper 6 which is attached to the cylinder 1 and slidably contacts with an inner periphery of the free piston 5 to form an air chamber G with the free piston 5; and a spring element S which biases the free piston 5 in a direction such that the air chamber G is expanded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
