Abstract:
To provide a pulsation damper which can suppress a pressure variation of low-pressure fuel supplied to a fuel pump.SOLUTION: There is provided a pulsation damper (70) which is applied to a fuel supply system including a fuel pump for sucking and pressure-feeding fuel in a pressurization chamber by reciprocation of a plunger; a suction passage (36) for supplying the low-pressure fuel to the fuel pump from a fuel tank; and a return passage (43) branched from the suction passage at a branch point (B) on the suction passage, and returning the fuel to the fuel tank, and arranged at the return passage. The pulsation damper comprises: a valve body (71) which moves to an open position from a closed position, and makes the fuel in the suction passage flow out to the return passage, when a pressure in the suction passage is higher than a reference pressure; and a damper part (81) which is integrally provided to the valve body, which makes a response according to a force received by the valve body in an opening/closing direction (X), and whose responsiveness to the pressure in the suction passage is higher than that of the valve body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
