Abstract:
To provide a method for controlling a bilayer-billet continuous-casting process capable of controlling a boundary layer level highly accurately.SOLUTION: A method for controlling a bilayer-billet continuous-casting process is for producing a bilayer-billet by injecting a molten steel into a mold 5 from a surface-layer nozzle 1 and inner-layer nozzle 2 and vertically separating between a surface-layer of molten steel and an inner-layer of molten steel with respect to a boundary 7. There are arranged a molten-metal surface level meter 9 for measuring a surface-layer level that is a position of a molten-metal surface in the mold 5, a flow meter 10 for measuring a supply flow rate of the surface-layer nozzle 1, and a flow meter 11 for measuring a supply flow rate of the inner-layer nozzle 2. By estimating a boundary layer level that is a position of a boundary by means of an observer based on a surface-layer level measurement value, a supply flow rate measurement value of the surface-layer nozzle 1 and a supply flow rate measurement value of the inner-layer nozzle 2, the supply flow rate of the surface-layer nozzle 1 and the supply flow rate of the inner-layer nozzle 2 are controlled in a manner of maintaining the surface-layer level measurement value by the molten-metal surface level meter 9 and the boundary layer level estimation value by the observer at respective target values.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
