Abstract:
To provide a sheet discharge device capable of preventing an erroneous detection of a fully-loaded state while improving productivity with shortened paper-to-paper spacing, and an image forming apparatus comprising the same.SOLUTION: A sheet discharge device 30A comprises a discharge roller pair 214, a discharge tray 215, a flag 1 and rotary board 2 that are vertically rotationally movable and rotationally move by being pushed to a sheet S being discharged from the discharge roller pair 214, and a rotary-angle detector 50 that detects an angle through which the flag 1 and rotary board 2 have rotated. The rotary-angle detector 50, when a job to continuously discharge a plurality of sheets S is inputted, detects a first rotary angle that the flag 1 and rotary board 2 rotationally move to a predetermined angle by being pushed to the first sheet S to be discharged. The discharge roller pair 214, after a required number of sheets S is discharged based on the first rotary angle with a first paper-to-paper spacing, discharges at least one sheet with a second paper-to-paper spacing broader than the first paper-to-paper spacing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
