Abstract:
To provide a sealing device which can suppress oil leakage to a forward direction of a shaft, and also to a reverse direction irrespective of a rotational speed of the shaft.SOLUTION: A sealing device 1000 attached in a clearance between a housing arranged at an external peripheral side with respect to a shaft 9, and the shaft 9, slidably contacting with an external peripheral face 9a of the shaft 9, and performing sealing, comprises: an annular reinforcing ring 10 arranged around an axial line x of the shaft 9, and attached to the housing; and an annular elastic body part 20 attached to the reinforcing ring 10, and arranged around the axial line x. The elastic body part 20 comprises a lip part 21 extending along the axial line x direction from a base part 24, a lip tip part 22 having a lip contact end 22a formed at a tip of the lip part 21, and slidably contacting with the external peripheral face 9a of the shaft 9, and an oil return protrusion 30 formed at an atmospheric-side face 22 at an atmospheric side with respect to the lip contact end 22a, returning toward the lip contact end 22a after progressing toward the atmospheric side from the lip contact end 22a, and formed into a curve shape in a planar view.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
