Abstract:
To provide a universal joint which can be efficiently applied with repair and maintenance, and can be exchangeable without moving an input source (drive or active mechanism) and/or an output source (driven or receiver mechanism).SOLUTION: A universal joint comprises a first yoke 5 having a connecting part 6 to which an input shaft 2 can be attached, a second yoke 15 having a connecting part 16 to which an output shaft 12 can be attached, and an intermediate shaft member 21 having a joint cross 25 for connecting the first yoke 5 and the second yoke 15 so as to be oscillatory or turnable. The connecting part 6 (16) of at least one yoke 5 (15) out of the first and second yokes 5, 15 is continued to a yoke main body, and comprises a receiving part 6a to which the shaft 2 (12) can be attached, or which can accommodate the shaft, and a cover member 6b which can be fastened to the receiving part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
