Abstract:
To support a user, when the model of the apparatus is changed, so that the user gets accustomed to a hierarchical structure after the model change, while allowing the user to use a hierarchical structure before the change of the model.SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 10, a control unit 29, when a second hierarchical structure is indicated by a user operation to a touch panel 24, sequentially reads, from a storage unit 28, input screens of the second hierarchical structure from an upper layer to a lower layer of the second hierarchical structure according to the user operation to the touch panel 24 and displays the input screens on a display unit 21, in place of displaying an input screen of the bottom layer of the second hierarchical structure, displays an input screen of the bottom layer of a first hierarchical structure corresponding to an input screen of the bottom layer of the second hierarchical structure, and displays a transition process of input screens from an upper layer to a lower layer of the first hierarchical structure down to the input screen of the bottom layer of the first hierarchical structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
