Abstract:
To provide a pneumatic tire which reduces the weight without impairing durability while maintaining an effect for improving operation stability of a tire having a belt layer formed by spirally winding a cord.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 10 includes a carcass 16 as an annular tire skeleton member, and a belt layer 26 that is joined to the outer peripheral side of the carcass 16 and is formed by coating a reinforcement cord 30 spirally wound in a tire circumferential direction with a resin laye 40, on the outer periphery of the carcass 16. The belt layer 26 has in-plane shear rigidity at the end in the tire axial direction of the belt layer 26 higher than the in-plane shear rigidity in the central part in the tire axial direction of the belt layer 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
