Abstract:
To provide a novel method for producing an iron nitride material having a nitride layer containing γ'-N .SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing an iron nitride material having a nitride layer containing γ'-FeN on the surface of an iron base material, the method comprising an electrolysis step for electro-depositing γ'-FeN on the surface of the anode by performing molten salt electrolysis using a cathode and an anode made of an iron base material provided in an electrolytic solution in which nitride ions (N) are dissolved in a molten salt, in the electrolysis step, the temperature of the electrolyte being 240°C. or higher, and the potential applied to the described-above anode being more than 0.6 V and 1.5 V or less on the basis of Li/Li.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
