Abstract:
To provide a control rod operation monitoring method capable of monitoring control rod insertion in an entire core during operation of a nuclear reactor, and a control rod operation monitoring system.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a system for detecting abnormal drive of a control rod 12 of a boiling-water reactor. The system comprises: a detection section consisting of multiple LPRM detectors 4 disposed in LPRM assemblies 1 disposed in a lattice shape inside of a pressure container 10; and an arithmetic unit 5 for calculating an evaluation value from signal values of the LPRM detectors 4 in the detection section and determining whether or not abnormal distortion occurs in axial output distribution from whether or not the evaluation value is deviated from a reference value. In one LPRM assembly 1, the LPRM detectors 4 are disposed one by one at positions of different heights, and multiple LPRM detectors 4 belonging to one LPRM assembly 1 are connected to different channels without being overlapped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
