本発明は、ディファレンシャルリングギヤ（２２）に関する。ディファレンシャルリングギヤは、径方向外周側に配設されたギヤ歯を有する。ディファレンシャルリングギヤは、当該ディファレンシャルリングギヤの回転速度を測定するためのターゲット（５０）を備えている。ターゲットは、環状をなしており、かつ周方向に配設された複数の歯（５６）を有している。測定用のターゲット（５０）は、ディファレンシャルリングギヤ（１２）の径方向に配向された側面に配置されている。
