Abstract:
海底トレンチ掘削機（２０）の噴射システムは、そのトレンチ切断噴射刀（３０）の後方に延びる噴射導管（５０）を有する。噴射刀（３０）切断ノズル（３１、３３、３５）によってトレンチ（Ｆ）が掘削された後に、噴射導管ノズル（５１）は噴射導管（５０）からトレンチ（Ｆ）に径方向に液体を導く。噴射導管（５０）は、トレンチ（Ｆ）内に十分な液体を導いて、トレンチ内のトレンチ掘削された土壌と水との混合物を導管の長さに沿って超臨界密度以下で維持し、それによりトレンチ（Ｆ）内に敷設される製造物がトレンチ（Ｆ）内を下降できる距離を延長し、製造物が意図された掘削深さに埋設される可能性を高める。
