Abstract:
To suppress reduction of engine output in a high-load region, in a center injection engine in which a positive tumble flow is generated in a combustion chamber.SOLUTION: A center injection engine is an engine comprising a direct injection injector and an igniter substantially at the center of the ceiling part of a combustion chamber. A positive tumble flow flows from a suction port side to an exhaust port side on the ceiling side of the combustion chamber, and flows from the exhaust port side to the suction port side on the top side of a piston. An ECU calculates injection timing based on an engine load. In a first injection control, an end crank angle of the injection timing is retarded as the engine load increases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
