Abstract:
To provide a two-stage compressor structured to be promptly and surely reactivated, the two-stage compressor being an air compressor of a two-stage type which generates high-pressure air.SOLUTION: A two-stage compressor comprises oscillation type pistons each including a lip ring in a first-stage-side cylinder and a second-stage-side cylinder. The two-stage compressor also comprises: an intake valve 47 for opening/closing an intake port communicating to a second-stage-side cylinder 4; a notch 49 which is formed on an end face of an upper part of the cylinder 4 and functioned as a stopper of the intake valve 47; and an air pressure release hole 44 for releasing the inside of the cylinder 4 into atmospheric air after stop of the compressor. The air pressure release hole 44 is formed in the cylinder 4 at a position where a lip ring 53 included in a piston 5 is not brought into contact. Because of such features, the inside of the cylinder 4 is speedily released into atmospheric air before reactivation of the compressor. A cleaning effect of dropping off an abrasion powder which is generated from the lip ring 53, by means of the intake valve 47 is expected, and the air release hole 44 is hard to be clogged with the abrasion powder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
