Abstract:
To provide a vehicle drive unit using an electric motor capable of transmitting large torque as a drive source without being enlarged in a size in a height direction.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive unit 100 comprises: an electric motor 1 having a rotor 11 which rotates with an axial line CL1 in a vertical direction as a center; a first rotating shaft 13 extending along the axial line CL1, having a first gear 14 at a tip part, and rotating integrally with the rotor 11; a pair of left and right second rotating shafts 21 which are erected while separating from each other along an axial line CL2 in the vertical direction, have second gears 22 engaged with the first gear 14 at a tip part, and are integrally formed with worms 23; a pair of left and right worm wheels 31 engaged with a pair of the left and right worms 23, and rotatably arranged with an axial line CL3 in a left-and-right direction as a center; and a pair of left and right drive shafts 45 inputted with torque from the pair of the left and right worm wheels 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
