Abstract:
To suppress increase in power consumption by increasing efficiency of using power from a power supply according to an input voice signal while performing synchronization between video signal display and voice signal output to a degree of inhibiting a viewer from feeling discomfort.SOLUTION: An amplification device comprises: a video processing unit for performing video processing on a video signal; a video output unit for outputting the video signal on which the video processing has been performed; a voice processing unit for performing voice processing on a voice signal; a voice output unit for amplifying the voice signal on which the voice processing has been performed before outputting the voice signal; a voltage variable power supply for supplying power supply voltage to the output unit; a power supply processing unit for performing power supply processing of changing power supply voltage supplied from the voltage variable power supply, according to the voice signal; and a control unit for controlling operation of the power supply processing unit. When a first time difference, a difference between timing at which the video signal is output and timing at which the voice signal is output, is equal to or larger then a first threshold, the control unit makes the power supply processing unit perform second power supply processing causing a delay in the voice signal shorter than that caused by the first power supply processing so that the first time difference is smaller than the first threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
