Abstract:
To provide a towing support device capable of making it easy to recognize, when the coupling angle between a towing vehicle and a towed vehicle becomes equal to or larger than a first angle, position relation between the towing vehicle and towed vehicle, i.e., the current state.SOLUTION: A towing support device comprises: an image acquisition part which acquires a rear image including an area behind a towing vehicle and a side image including a region by the towing vehicle, one after another, the images being captured as peripheral images by an imaging part provided on the towing vehicle to which a towed vehicle can be coupled; an angle acquisition part which acquires the angle of coupling between the towing vehicle and towed vehicle; and a display processing part which switches, when the side image is displayed at a display part in a state in which the towing vehicle to which the towed vehicle is coupled can travel backward, a peripheral image to be displayed at the display part from the side image to the rear image if the angle of coupling becomes equal to or larger than a first angle at which variation control to make the angle of coupling small by steering in the backward travel of the towing vehicle is disabled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
