Abstract:
To improve reliability of a filter failure diagnosis.SOLUTION: A filter diagnosis device includes a period determination section, an output acquisition section, an upstream particulate amount acquisition section, first and second related amount calculation sections and a failure determination section. The period determination section determines whether time is within a failure determination period immediately after completion of filter regeneration processing.The output acquisition section acquires sensor output indicating a detection result from a particulate sensor within the failure determination period. The upstream particulate amount acquisition section acquires information indicating upstream particulate amount. The first related amount calculation section calculates first downstream particulate related amount related to the particulate amount discharged from a filter within the failure determination period on the basis of the upstream particulate amount and collection efficiency immediately after regeneration. The second related amount calculation section calculates second downstream particulate related amount related to the particulate amount discharged from the filter within the failure determination period on the basis of the sensor output. The failure determination section determines filter failure on the basis of the first and second downstream particulate related amounts calculated by the first and second related amount calculation sections.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
