Abstract:
To provide a constitution capable of accurately processing an insulation layer without impairing a tolerable alignment angle of a bearing, in a self-aligning roller bearing in which an outer ring has an electrical insulation layer over a width face from an outside diameter face.SOLUTION: An electrical corrosion prevention self-alignment roller bearing comprises: an outer ring 1 having a raceway surface 1a which is spherically recessed at an inside diameter face; an inner ring 2 having a raceway surface 2a which is spherically recessed at an outside diameter face; a plurality of rollers 3 which are arranged in an annular shape in two rows between the outer ring 1 and the inner ring 2, and whose rolling faces are bulged to spherical shapes; and a cage 4 for rollingly holding the rollers 3 in the rows. The outer ring 1 has an electrical insulation layer 5 over a width face from an outside diameter face. A circumferential groove 7 whose cross section is formed into a substantially-rectangular shape being a reference face when cutting the electrical insulation layer formed at the outside diameter face of the outer ring 1 and the width face is formed in a position between the rollers 3 in the two rows of the raceway surface 1a of the outer ring 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
