Abstract:
To improve cooling performance while reducing energy consumption of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device 100 comprises: a preceding vehicle specification part 112 for specifying a preceding vehicle traveling ahead of an own vehicle 1; a low pressure region deriving part 126 for deriving a low pressure region generated behind the preceding vehicle; a travel control part 124 for controlling traveling of the own vehicle 1 so that the own vehicle 1 follows the preceding vehicle in the low pressure region; an opening and closing member (AGS30) for opening and closing an opening formed in a front surface part of the own vehicle 1; and an open/close control part 128 for controlling the amount of opening of the opening and closing member according to a cooling performance of the own vehicle 1 while the own vehicle 1 is traveling in the low pressure region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
