Abstract:
To provide an oil bath type sliding bearing device that has an enlarged adjustable range of oil supply amount and can supply a sufficient amount of lubricant into a bearing housing even when a rotation shaft is rotated at high speed, and to provide a rotary machine.SOLUTION: An oil bath type sliding bearing device includes a side plate 11 at a side surface in an axial direction of a bearing housing 4. The side plate is configured so that a gap G in a radial direction of a rotation shaft 1 between a bearing slide surface 2s and an inner peripheral surface 11a,b of the side plate which faces an outer peripheral surface of the rotation shaft becomes larger on an upper region side than on a lower region side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
