Abstract:
To provide an AEI type zeolite having higher catalytic performance than a production method using an expensive Y type zeolite as a raw material and to provide a catalyst composed of the AEI type zeolite.SOLUTION: There is provided an AEI type zeolite which is an aluminosilicate zeolite having an acid amount of 1.2 to 3.0 mmol/g and an Si/Al ratio of 6.5 or less. There is provided an AEI type zeolite containing potassium and/or cesium in a molar ratio of 0.001 to 1.0 with respect to aluminium. There is provided an AEI type zeolite having an average primary particle diameter of 0.01 to 3 μm. There is provided an AEI type zeolite containing no FAU type zeolite in a raw material. There is provided a catalyst containing an AEI type zeolite. There is provided a catalyst which is a selective reduction catalyst for an exhaust gas containing a nitrogen oxide. There is provided a nitrogen oxide removing method of bringing a nitrogen oxide into contact with a reducing agent in the presence of a catalyst. There is provided an exhaust emission control system having a selective reduction type nitrogen oxide purification catalyst including a catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
