Abstract:
To provide a light flux division prism capable of suppressing astigmatism due to air interval.SOLUTION: A color separation optical system comprises: a first prism having a first surface for receiving light flux, a second surface including a dichroic film dividing the light flux for reflection and transmission to the first surface and inclined to the first surface, and a third surface emitting reflectance flux in the order of the second and first surfaces; a second prism having a fourth surface receiving transmitted light flux of the second surface via an air interval, a fifth surface including a dichroic film dividing the light flux for reflection and transmission to the fourth surface, and a sixth surface emitting the reflectance flux in the order of the fifth and fourth surfaces; a third prism having a seventh surface emitting transmitted light flux of the fifth surface and inclined to the first surface; and a fourth prism having an eighth surface emitting transmitted light flux of the seventh surface via an air interval, and a ninth surface emitting the light flux. The seventh and eighth surfaces are inclined with respect to the inclination direction of the second and third surfaces in a direction rotated by 90° about an optical axis of the light flux entering the first surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
