Abstract:
To reduce load concentration.SOLUTION: A storage management apparatus 1 includes a control unit 1a and a storage unit 1b. The control unit 1a is connected to a plurality of nodes that perform data I/O processing on a storage to monitor the load status of the plurality of nodes n1,..., n4. Further, the control unit 1a monitors the load status of the plurality of nodes (n1,..., n4) which are grouped to switch between a first shared state, in which meta information of data respectively held by nodes that have performed data input and output processing is shared between nodes in the same group, and a second shared state, in which the data meta information is shared between nodes across different groups, on the basis of the load status. The storage unit 1b stores I/O data, the meta information, meta sharing information in which a combination of nodes sharing the meta information is registered, control information regarding operation management, and the like.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
