Abstract:
To provide a method for calculating a phase and a grinding processing method which can calculate a phase of a work-piece with high precision in a short time for grinding processing without using phase references of a pin, a key and the like and a touch sensor and the like for determining a phase in a grinding machine.SOLUTION: A grinding machine 1 detects contact of a grinding wheel 17 with a work-piece W in a contact detection step (S4). On the basis of the fact that an eccentric portion Wa, a portion to be processed of the work-piece W that rotates with a rotation axis center Wc as a center is in a positional relation in which the portion contacts the grinding wheel 17 in a posture in which a center Wac of the portion is positioned at a middle point, on a line connecting the rotation axis center Wc to a grindstone axis center Tc, between the centers, a rotation phase of a spindle 12a at the time when the contact is detected is set as a processing-reference phase of the work-piece W in a reference phase determination step (S6).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
