Abstract:
To provide a planned digital data link (DDL) communication service and function with an emphasis on real-time capabilities that enable an aircraft and a ground device to fulfill their missions in a small unmanned aerial vehicle system.SOLUTION: In a wireless network including a plurality of DDL nodes and having dynamic transmission control, DDL nodes 100 to 500 include an arbitration mechanism and a plurality of client nodes. The arbitration mechanism controls the operation of the client nodes by defining a communication operation cycle and allocating bandwidth to each of the client nodes on a cycle-by-cycle basis in response to bandwidth requests from the client nodes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
