Abstract:
To provide a steering device including a speed reducer that is resistant to a change in temperature.SOLUTION: A steering device 100 applied to steer a steering wheel 201 by increasing rotational torque of an electric motor 140 by a speed reducer includes: a bearing 152 supporting an output shaft 160 so that the output shaft rotates relative to a speed reducer housing 151; and an attachment member 153 formed in a cylindrical shape having an inner circumferential surface capable of holding an outer race of the bearing 152, and made of a material having the same linear expansion coefficient as the outer race. The speed reducer housing 151 includes: an insertion hole 156 into which the shaft 160 extends and which has an inner circumferential surface with an internal threaded portion; and a contact surface portion 158 extending inward from the insertion hole 156 to contact an end surface of the outer race of the bearing 152. The attachment member 153 has an outer circumferential surface with an external threaded portion screwed with the internal threaded portion of the insertion hole 153. The attachment member 153 is screwed with the insertion hole 156 until the contact surface portion 158 is brought into contact with the end surface of the outer race, and thus the steering device is structured such that the shaft 160 is arranged to extend through the insertion hole 156 of the speed reducer housing 151.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
