Abstract:
To provide a control device and a control method capable of securing amenity of a driver during execution of adaptive cruise control of a saddle-riding type vehicle.SOLUTION: In a control device and a control method, when switching from a state where brake force is generated in a wheel of a saddle-riding type vehicle to a state where a driving wheel is driven by using driving force outputted from a driving source of the saddle-riding type vehicle, during execution of adaptive cruise control for traveling the saddle-riding type vehicle according to a distance from the saddle-riding type vehicle to a preceding vehicle, a movement of the saddle-riding type vehicle, and a driver's instruction, brake force generated in the wheel is controlled so that reference brake force is generated in the driving wheel, when driving of the driving wheel is started by transmission, to the driving wheel, of driving force outputted from the driving source.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
