Abstract:
To provide a vehicle protection device which enables protection according to a protection target when the protection target such as a pedestrian collides with a vehicle, and to provide a vehicle including the vehicle protection device.SOLUTION: A vehicle protection device 1 includes: protection devices 2, 5 which protect a protection target P which collides with a vehicle C; measuring devices 31 to 34, 24 which obtain images of the protection target P and measure a distance between the projection target P and the vehicle C; and a control device 6 which causes the protection devices 2, 5 to be operated in different manners according to a size of the protection target P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
