Abstract:
To solve the problem in which: when a pixel part and a drive circuit are formed on the same substrate, if a counter electrode is provided over the entire surface of a counter substrate, an optimized voltage of the counter electrode may affect the driving circuit.SOLUTION: The device includes a liquid crystal layer between a pair of substrates. One of the substrates is provided with a pixel electrode and a driving circuit. The other substrate is a counter substrate, with two counter electrode layers having different potentials provided thereon; one of the electrode layers is superimposed on the pixel electrode via the liquid crystal layer; and the other electrode layer is superimposed on the drive circuit via the liquid crystal layer. The drive circuit uses an oxide semiconductor layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
