Abstract:
To provide a pre-chamber for a cylinder of an internal combustion engine and a cylinder device, which achieve an optimized service life.SOLUTION: A pre-chamber 9 comprises an ignition chamber 12, a duct 4 connecting the ignition chamber 12 with a main combustion chamber 21 of a cylinder, and a housing 11 with an integrated cooling assembly 28. A cylinder device may have only one pre-chamber. The duct comprises a first duct portion 13 with an inlet opening 6 to the ignition chamber, and a longitudinal axis 3 of the ignition chamber is inclined relative to a first longitudinal axis 5 of the first duct portion. The inlet opening is arranged eccentrically, such that a tumble flow motion is formable in the ignition chamber. The duct comprises only one outlet opening 7 which is arranged such that a beam of a gas-air mixture is formable, and a second duct portion 19 having a second longitudinal axis 14 which is inclined relative to the first longitudinal axis 5 and to the ignition chamber longitudinal axis 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
