Abstract:
To provide a piston ring which can inhibit wear of a slide mating member even if the piston ring has an uneven structure on an outer peripheral surface.SOLUTION: A piston ring is formed with an uneven structure alternately having groove parts and land parts extending in a predetermined direction on an outer peripheral surface. The outer peripheral surface includes an outermost diameter part, at which a dimension of an outer diameter becomes the largest, in a profile shape formed by a cross section including a center axis of the piston ring. The uneven structure is not formed at the outermost diameter part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3B
