Abstract:
To provide a gear processing device and a gear processing method that can reduce cycle time in forming a plurality of tooth surfaces with different torsion angles to sides of teeth of a gear by cutting processing.SOLUTION: A gear processing device 1 subjects a work-piece W to cutting processing to create a gear by feeding a gear-cutting tool 40 along an axial line L direction of the work-piece W relatively to the work-piece W while synchronously rotating the gear-cutting tool 40 and the work-piece W in a state where an axial line L of the gear-cutting tool 40 is inclined with respect to a parallel line of an axial line Lw of the work-piece W. In the gear processing device 1 and the gear processing method, a correction angle is set to a first angle θ1 and the gear-cutting tool 40 is moved from a first finishing position to a second starting position while rotating the work-piece W and the gear-cutting tool 40, when starting cutting processing for a second tooth surface after finishing cutting processing for a first tooth surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
