Abstract:
To provide a battery monitoring device with which it is possible to make the most of the battery performance that a battery inherently has.SOLUTION: A battery monitoring device 3 acquires the present value (4.0 V) of a cell voltage when a battery B is charged for over 60 minutes with a constant current IJ when the change width of a cell voltage in a prescribed period (e.g., 60 minutes), for example, when a cell voltage is 2.2 V as in Fig. 1(b), at the time the battery B is charged with a prescribed charge current (constant current IJ), and acquires the present SOC curve (present characteristic) shown in a dashed line graph on the basis of the present value (4.0 V) and a previously stored initial SOC curve. The battery monitoring device 3 changes the cell voltage lower-limit value and/or cell voltage upper-limit value in accordance with a change of the SOC curve so that the battery power use range is not narrowed by use of the battery B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
